Please study the following list of Brazil's major geographic/topographic/regional features.

The pass/fail quiz, to be given at the end of class on will be given in class on Thursday, February 2, 2012, will ask that you correctly locate ten items drawn from the list below. A blank map similar to the one on the reverse will be provided. Seven or more correct answers will be considered a passing grade. you will retake the quiz until you do pass.   Failure to pass the map quiz will mean that your final exam grade will automatically be dropped one letter grade.

NOTE:  The Study Map shows modern political boundaries. When appropriate, you will be asked to indicate where historical boundaries differ from modern boundaries.  .

Study Tips:

After locating the terms that you know off the top of your head, look for unfamiliar places and terms in the maps to be found in the assigned Viotti da Costa text and/or the optional Skidmore textbook. From there, go to any of the following resources:
